22/30 January 2017 – Tarvisio, IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships

The International Paralympic Committee has delegated the organisation of the IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships to the Ski Club Sport X All Hans Erlacher Team. It will be the first time the event takes place in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The great job done in the previous season, during the 2015 European Cup in Sella Nevea and the 2016 World Cup in Tarvisio, was crucial for the award. The event received broad media coverage with live broadcasting by RAI SPORT1.

The work done in the past season for the European Cup in Sella Nevea was crucial for the award. The World Cup which took place in Tarvisio on 18 and 19 January 2016, with a female and male slalom and giant slalom, brought us closer to this event. The event received broad media coverage.

The World Championship Tarvisio 2017 will see more than 300 athletes from over 30 nations, together with their escorts, teams, other professionals and press and media officers.
